We have an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and skilled End-User Computing (EUC) Engineer to join our team in Aberdeen. As an EUC Engineer you’ll focus on delivering value to the business via EUC services helping to improve user productivity, delivering and securing devices, applications, access and data. If you are a team player, possess excellent communication skills and have undertaken previous EUC Engineer roles we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll do
- Technical support (operational and project) for EUC related services
- Prioritise and manage EUC related incidents
- Identify and manage problems by implementing workarounds and eliminating the root cause
- Provide technical mentorship and cross-training to peers and team members
- Document and peer review operational support knowledge
- Maintain patch and security baselines for EUC related services
- Design, recommendation, planning and implementation of EUC solutions
- Act as technical authority for EUC services providing technical governance for change activity
- Deliver development and Continual Service Improvement (CSI) initiatives
- Develop EUC strategies and roadmaps
- Keep informed of the latest EUC developments
What to bring
As well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with individuals up to Senior Leadership level, the following technical experience is required:
- Essential
- Self-supporting and proactive
- Microsoft 365 administration – Microsoft 365, Windows 10, Enterprise Mobility and Security
- Windows 10 image creation, maintenance and deployment using enterprise tools such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager
- Mobile Device Management technologies such as Intune
- Identity and Access Management solutions including Active Directory Domain Services and Azure AD
- Provision of support governed by the ITIL best practice framework
- Task automation and scripting using tools such as PowerShell
- Preferred
- Knowledge of profile/workspace management solutions
- Knowledge of VDI or Cloud based DaaS services
- Knowledge of Citrix XenApp
- Microsoft Certified Accreditations
