An excellent opportunity has arisen for Infrastructure Project Managers with a strong background of managing large and complex IT projects within an enterprise setting to join our team in Aberdeen. Successful candidates will be responsible for the management and delivery of IT infrastructure projects on time, within budget and to the satisfaction of stakeholders. Ideally candidates will be based in Aberdeen, but we will also consider those who prefer remote working.
What you’ll do
- Mobilise and manage projects and change initiatives using formal methodologies and lifecycles
- Develop and manage stakeholder engagement, ensuring continuous and clear communication with clients, vendors and stakeholders
- Work with project sponsors to develop scope and business cases including financial and project plans
- Demonstrate personal flexibility and encourage flexibility by other team members in pursuit of achieving project objectives on schedule, on budget and to the required standards
- Take accountability, assess situations and make critical decisions when faced with complex demands and issues that can, and will, arise throughout the project lifecycle
- Manage the project visibly against the project plan including schedule and budget, making changes where necessary
- Lead and coordinate teams of diverse technical and non-technical resources across multiple geographic sites and engage effectively with external 3rd party service providers
- Manage risk and issues and develop mitigation plans
- Provide performance reporting
- Ensure project documents are complete, current and appropriately stored
What to bring
- Previous full life-cycle IT projects experience with experience of managing large scale IT projects in an enterprise environment
- Strong technical background in IT infrastructure and operations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- Excellent leadership skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage stakeholders and internal staff through large scale business change
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with users and stakeholders at all levels
- Strong Microsoft Project skills
- Project Management certification; PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent
- Agile experience beneficial
- Previous experience within the Oil & Gas sector would be advantageous
- Previous Integration project experience beneficial

The salary banding for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum/£400 - £500 per day depending on skills and experience.
