We are seeking an experienced Operational Excellence Support Engineer to join our team in Aberdeen on a permanent or contract basis. As Operational Excellence Support Engineer you will be responsible for developing an Operational Excellence programme driving excellence across the business. Ideally you will be based in Aberdeen, but we will also consider candidates who have a preference for remote working.
What you’ll do
- Develop the OE Programme Framework and supporting documentation
- Develop the OE intranet site and ensure it is maintained and updated
- Develop the roll out programme and delivery
- Provide coaching and training to those involved in OE Reviews
- Develop the OE Review Tool and Reports
- Develop the review programme and coordinate the reviews and feedback
- Ensure the OE Framework is up to date and includes all developments in Business Processes and Regulatory & Industry practice
- Identify improvement opportunities to be included in the Business Improvement process were appropriate
- Participate in OE Reviews where appropriate
- Develop the budget input for the OE Programme
What to bring
- Experience of working in a similar role, either in operational excellence or process improvement
- Highly experienced with Operational Excellence Frameworks such as Six Sigma or Lean methodology
- Excellent communication, coaching, presentation and influencing skills
- Strong leadership and project management skills
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address operational issues
- Flexible, team orientated individual who can adapt to the changing nature of the business
- A can-do attitude to facilitate the desire outcomes of the business
- Experience of leading and motivating delivery focused teams in pressurised and results orientated environments
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experienced at working in complex and fast- moving environments
- Previous oil and gas experience advantageous
