Delivering a complex global cloud transformation programme
Background
Our client, operating in over 30 countries globally, is an innovative, cloud-first business with a strong focus on customer service. In recent years, they have grown rapidly by acquisition, inheriting various legacy technology systems along the way. To support continued growth, they needed help enabling both application transition and service transition initiatives seamlessly across markets.
What we did
Our client wanted to move their fragmented global technology estate to the cloud and to on-board a new service integrator partner.
The role of prosource.it in this project was to act as the strategic enabler between the client and their new offshore partner. We designed and set up both the application migration framework and the infrastructure support service transition framework with all associated processes and procedures needed to make it successful.
We represented our client’s global team – acting as their hands, ears and eyes – working directly with local technology teams in each country to implement the changes. As this was a highly-federated business structure, our work had to be done with a great deal of sensitivity and awareness of cultural nuance.
Technology in scope
As the business had grown by acquisition, there was a wide variety of technology and legacy systems to migrate. As well as owned data centres, some countries had already embarked on their own cloud transitions. We had to find a common path through each to optimise the global aspirations of the project, while being aware of local needs and regulations, for example GDPR.

The successful delivery of the transformation programme achieved the following outcomes:
