Want to know what to expect when you join prosource.it? You've come to the right place.

Live.it

Most of our team are based on client premises or work remotely, so meeting up regularly and staying in touch is vital to us. You're a part of something here! Every prosourcer's day is unique - if you want to know what they look like, check out 'the prosource diaries' over on our Insights page.

We send out a monthly bulletin packed full of information from employees, customer news, tips and ideas as well some fun things to do and get involved in. We hold annual AGMs in the US and UK and quarterly virtual Townhall meetings where staff can hear from the Leadership Team and have the opportunity to ask questions.

Throughout the year we hold prosocial get-togethers - whether these be based around food, sports or other pastimes, it's an opportunity to see colleagues and have fun.

Each year we are delighted to welcome all employees and their partners to a dinner dance to say thank you for all the hard work and commitment they've given.

Many people who join us decide that they're in it for the long haul. We're so proud of our international Rolex Club, now over forty people strong. The Club have all been working with us for over ten years and have a shiny Rolex watch to show for it. Our smaller yet inclusive Golden Ticket Club are our twenty-year IT veterans who have been invited to choose 'something memorable' courtesy of prosource.it.

From IT Trainee (School Leaver - Modern Apprentice) to Senior Desktop Support Engineer

I joined prosource straight from school, not knowing much about the industry and without having studied IT previously. They provided direction, guidance and training in the form of a Higher National Diploma for IT professionals via a Modern Apprenticeship scheme. Following this achievement, I continued my studies and gained Microsoft 365 certification as a Microsoft Desktop Administrator Associate, allowing me to develop and give myself the best opportunity to progress.

One of my main strengths is my interpersonal skills. I am now working in a site that is well suited to my skillset and has allowed me to undertake a senior role in the desktop support team. Over the past four years working with my current client, my responsibilities and exposure have grown, as well as the opportunity to get involved in various projects throughout the department. I am continuing to increase my project management experience, having recently gained both AgilePM and Prince2 foundation certification, by assisting with project planning.

My future aspirations with prosource are to further establish myself in a line of work I truly enjoy - project management - where I can utilise my people skills and new project management certification. I always endeavour to gain more experience and increase my influence in whatever project I am tasked with.

Developing Skills in IT Project Support and Co-Ordination

I joined prosource.it in Feb 2011 to be part of a large-scale project to roll out Windows 7 for one of our customers. I was new to the IT Service environment, but was offered plenty of support and became the lead scheduler for the Americas Region. I was able to use the skills honed on that project to also lead the scheduling effort for the subsequent Windows 10 roll out.

Though I got my start with scheduling, I had the opportunity to work in a variety of other types of roles and projects from implementing a VOIP solution at hundreds of customer locations to working on a Telecom Expense Management project which resulted in significant cost savings. My latest role has been offering training services for new applications that are being rolled out.

That's the great thing about working for a company like prosource.it, you can continue to to build meaningful relationships within the organization all while having the opportunity try out different roles.

I joined the Rolex Club in 2021 - that's me with one of the UK directors, Alan Cowie.

From Intern to Quality and Compliance Manager

I joined prosource as one of our very first work experience students – my first task was organising the filing cabinets in our new office premises, and also got the chance to get involved with a desktop deployment at one of our clients.

On my graduation, I was offered a full-time role. For the next four years I worked with one of our biggest clients on a variety of projects, starting as a junior build and support technician. I’m a ‘people person’, handy with a spreadsheet and really enjoyed working with the business users, so quickly transitioned into project support, business liaison and co-ordination.

Meanwhile, prosource was rapidly growing and I was identified as someone who could be useful in a head office role. I’ve been there since 2010 – I’ve worked in the accounts team, I’ve looked after our supplier personnel, and now I work cross-functionally in a quality and compliance role. My reporting team have responsibilities for health, safety and security which means I get to work with everyone across the whole UK business. It’s a natural fit for me and I am so proud of what our organisation has achieved together, and can’t wait to see what we do in the future.
