Success in this role will come from the ability to define clear requirements, manage a robust procurement process and guide stakeholders towards the selection of the right strategic partner. We're looking for someone who can combine commercial rigour, strong stakeholder engagement and excellent written communication to deliver a successful supplier selection outcome.

What you’ll do

• Reviewing project objectives, scope, intended outcomes and delivery approach
• Engaging with stakeholders to understand organisational needs and expectations of a strategic partner
• Defining the capabilities, experience and services required from potential suppliers
• Developing statements of requirements, scopes of services and tender documentation
• Supporting market engagement activities where appropriate
• Working closely with commercial and procurement teams to ensure compliance with governance and procurement requirements
• Developing supplier evaluation criteria and scoring methodologies
• Coordinating tender responses, evaluation sessions and moderation activities
• Supporting supplier presentations, interviews and solution workshops
• Assessing the quality, suitability, deliverability and commercial value of supplier proposals
• Supporting the recommendation and selection of the preferred supplier

What to bring

About You

We're looking for someone who combines strong procurement and commercial expertise with an understanding of Data & AI capability development.

• Significant experience running procurement or sourcing exercises from requirements definition through to supplier recommendation
• Experience developing statements of requirements, scopes of work and tender documentation
• Strong understanding of supplier evaluation, commercial assessment and procurement governance
• Experience translating strategic objectives into clear supplier requirements and evaluation frameworks
• Excellent stakeholder management and facilitation skills
• Outstanding written communication and documentation skills
• Practical understanding of what makes a successful Data & AI literacy or capability-building programme

We'd be especially interested in professionals who have:

• Led strategic supplier selection exercises end-to-end
• Procured learning, capability, transformation or professional services programmes
• Developed evaluation criteria, scoring methodologies and moderation processes
• Worked within regulated, utility or governance-driven environments
• Supported organisational capability, digital transformation or workforce enablement initiatives
