NHS - Windows Deployment
Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust wanted to upgrade their aging and inadequate IT systems and devices - their largest scale IT project to date.
The Trust and CCG were grappling with outdated and inadequate IT infrastructure across multiple sites, including three large regional hospitals and over 70 GP surgeries, affecting over 8,000 employees and 10,000 devices. The Trust needed to upgrade their systems, improve reliability, and enhance user productivity, all while minimising disruption to healthcare services.
What we did
We delivered a fixed-price scheduling, deployment and project management service to migrate NHS employees to the Microsoft Windows 10 platform, including:
- Project management
- Provision of stakeholder engagement and project communications
- Tailored virtual productivity coaching to ensure employees could get the most from the new tools
- Coordination and scheduling of the identified end users across the Trust
- Build, deployment and early support & training of the new Windows 10 environment Appplication Consolidation and packaging of clinical and non-clinical applications.
- Implement extending hours service desk with service now ticketing system
- Asset management
- Created a PMO and provided an interim digital director who set up standardised documentation with gating and approvals
- Introduced new centralised project reporting that focused on value
