NHS - Windows Deployment

What we did

We delivered a fixed-price scheduling, deployment and project management service to migrate NHS employees to the Microsoft Windows 10 platform, including:

• Project management
• Provision of stakeholder engagement and project communications
• Tailored virtual productivity coaching to ensure employees could get the most from the new tools
• Coordination and scheduling of the identified end users across the Trust
• Build, deployment and early support & training of the new Windows 10 environment Appplication Consolidation and packaging of clinical and non-clinical applications.
• Implement extending hours service desk with service now ticketing system
• Asset management
• Created a PMO and provided an interim digital director who set up standardised documentation with gating and approvals
• Introduced new centralised project reporting that focused on value  

What we achieved

• More than 8,000 end users and 10,000 devices migrated
• 75% completed in 6 months and all completed within the nine-month deadline
• Complex mix of six Trust locations across three large regional hospitals, healthcare centres, user home deployments
• Planned and delivered the project safely despite the COVID-19 pandemic

• Enabled the end user community with WIndows 10 and with new functionality

Delivered safely, on time and within budget

We executed the Trust’s largest IT project to date, migrating over 8,000 end users and 10,000 devices to Windows 10 within nine months. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, we delivered the project safely, on time, and within budget. 

This upgrade improved system reliability and functionality, enabling better productivity and operational integrity across the Trust. The strategic project management, robust stakeholder engagement, and comprehensive training ensured a seamless transition with no operational disruptions.
